SEPULTURA: On Vacation
June 1, 2005According to a posting on SEPULTURA's official web site, the bandmembers are currently on vacation. "The guys decided to take a couple months to take care of their lives and then come back to get the DVD out and finish writing the new album," the posting adds.
SEPULTURA's DVD shoot took place on April 3 in their hometown of São Paulo, Brazil. The group's complete setlist for the show can be found at this location.
As previously reported, SEPULTURA are in the process of writing material for their new studio album, which is said to be based on the "The Divine Comedy", widely considered the greatest epic poem of Italian literature, and one of the greatest of world literature.
SEPULTURA's latest CD, "Roorback", was issued in North America in August 2003 via SPV Records. The follow-up to 2001's "Nation" was recorded and mixed by producer Steve Evetts (SNAPCASE, EARTH CRISIS) at Mosh Studios in São Paulo, Brazil, and was released in Europe in May 2003 through SPV.
